TRANSCENDENCE
IS INNATE.
Our Story
Innatus was borne from a deep belief that transcendent experiences are innate. We are passionate about transcendent states that are attained not with the use of substances, but from within.
Innatus was built with the intention for driving awareness, community, and research. It was formed by 3 classmates during their Masters’ of Science in Transpersonal Psychology.
Our first objective as a nascent organization is to build community among enthusiasts, researchers, and practitioners of drug-free transcendent experience and its related modalities.
Hi, WE’RE THE CO-FOUNDERS
We met during our MSc in Transpersonal Psychology.
Kate Manser studies the conscious awareness of living and dying. In 2026, her research found that the conscious awareness of aliveness fosters an innate transcendent experience. @thealivekate
Kirsti Formoso is the researcher who adapted the Mystical Experience Questionnaire (MEQ) for non-psychedelic transcendent experiences, recently cited in the Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Transpersonal Psychology.
Ally Shah studies hypnagogic experiences mediated through technology. As part of her her recent research, she designed a unique VR world for inducing hypnagogic states.
OUR Approach
We have a big vision to spread awareness, community, and research in the area of drug-free mystical experiences.
PHASE 1: COMMUNITY
We’ve kicked off a free society meetup, held on Zoom every month. Speakers, connecting, and learning. RSVP
PHASE II: awareness
The reality is that most people think they need a drug to have a “psychedelic” or mystical experience. We aim to let the world know that our ability to experience transcendence is innate.
PHASE III: RESEARCH
There is so much exciting research happening in the psychedelics space. Our aims are the same: healing. Innatus intends to drive and support research on drug-free transcendent experiences as a spiritual and physical healing tool.
